Young Aussie has recently been challenged by one of our Board members Anna Gregory, that in addition to our developing partnership with Teen Challenge dealing with young men that we support and partner in the establishment of Mercy Ministries in Tasmania.This challenge has been wholeheartedly endorsed and we would request your support both physically, ( join the Walk 4 Women Saturday 8 September) prayerfully(contact us and join us at the next vision meeting, or financially ( all gifts are tax deductible if given to Mercy Ministries or can be given through Young Aussie)

Mercy Ministries was established in 2000 to help women dealing with eating disorders, abuse, life controlling issues and unplanned pregnancies. The unique initiative is designed for women aged 16 – 28 years who participate in a 6 to 12 month residential-based program.

Mercy Ministries already has a home in Sydney and a second home in Queensland and is aiming to open more homes to help the countless number of young women in need. These homes equip young women who are in need of individualised care through counselling and support with life principles and social skills.
